In TaxFileApp, you can file a W-2 return for the current year and previous tax year.
Follow the steps below to file W-2 for a previous year:
- Sign in to your TaxFileApp account.
- From the Dashboard, Click on Start New >> Form >> W-2.
- To choose a previous tax year, click Select a different tax year link and select File Form W-2 for 2021.
There are two different ways to create W-2 forms:
- Use Manual Data Entry to add a new W-2 form one at a time. Click here to learn how to manually enter the data and transmit the W-2 form.
- Use the Bulk Upload option to import multiple W-2 forms. Download the default Excel template provided, follow the instructions for filing in the template, and upload the file.
TaxFileApp will check your form for errors, and after resolving errors as needed, review your form before transmitting. Continue to opt-in to any additional services and pay the filing fee. Click Pay and Transmit to submit your form to the IRS.
